This Service Agreement ("Agreement") governs the specific terms and conditions of your Dome-A-Date experience. By completing your booking, you agree to all terms outlined below.
1. Service Booking Details
1.1 Experience Duration
- Standard booking includes a 2-hour experience window
- Experience begins when setup is complete and customer is notified
- Setup time (approximately 60-90 minutes) is separate from your experience time
- Teardown time (approximately 45-60 minutes) occurs after your experience ends
1.2 Time Overage Policy
If you exceed your 2-hour time limit:
- Grace period: First 15 minutes over is complimentary
- After grace period: $75 per additional 30 minutes (or portion thereof)
- Staff will provide a 15-minute warning before your scheduled end time
- Extended time is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed
- Overage fees will be charged to the payment method on file
- If you wish to extend, please notify staff as soon as possible - rate is $125/hour if arranged in advance vs. $150/hour if unplanned
2. Location Requirements and Fees
2.1 Minimum Space Requirements
- Minimum 12 feet x 12 feet of clear, level outdoor space
- Additional space needed for access and pathways (approximately 15' x 15' total recommended)
- Ground must be soft enough for stakes (grass, soft soil) or have alternative anchoring options
- Area must be free of overhead obstructions (tree branches, power lines, etc.)
2.2 Inadequate Location Fee
If the location cannot accommodate our setup:
- $150 service call fee applies if our crew arrives and space is inadequate
- Fee covers staff time, travel, and equipment transport
- This fee is non-refundable
- Customer may reschedule to a suitable location with applicable rebooking fees
- We recommend sending photos of your intended location before booking to avoid this fee
3. Equipment Damage Policy
3.1 Normal Wear and Tear
Normal wear and tear from proper use is expected and covered. This includes minor scuffs, wrinkles in fabric, or small stains that can be laundered.
3.2 Damage Fees
Customer is financially responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear, including:
- Dome tent tears or burns: $50-$500 depending on severity (full tent replacement: $500)
- Broken/damaged lighting strings: $25-$75 per strand
- Damaged decorative elements: Replacement cost + $25 handling fee
- Broken furniture items: Replacement cost + $50 handling fee
- Stains requiring professional cleaning: $50-$150 depending on item and severity
- Smoke damage (violation of no-smoking policy): Minimum $200 cleaning fee, up to full replacement cost
3.3 Damage Assessment
- Equipment is inspected before and after each event
- Photographic documentation is taken of all items
- Customer will be notified of any damage within 48 hours
- Damage fees will be charged to the payment method on file
- Disputes may be raised within 7 days of damage notification
4. Stolen or Missing Items
4.1 Customer Responsibility
- Customer is responsible for all equipment during their experience window
- Setup area should be monitored, especially in public spaces
- Do not leave setup unattended for extended periods
4.2 Theft Fees
If items are stolen or go missing during your experience:
- Customer will be charged full replacement cost + $50 restocking fee per item
- Common item replacement costs:
- Blankets/pillows: $30-$80 each
- Lanterns/lighting: $25-$150 each
- Decorative items: $15-$100 each
- Full dome tent: $500
- Police report must be filed for theft claims over $200
- Customer's insurance may cover theft - we will provide documentation as needed
5. Prohibited Items and Activities
5.1 🚭 Smoking Policy
- Strictly NO smoking, vaping, or tobacco use inside or within 10 feet of the dome
- This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, and cannabis products
- Violation Fee: $200 minimum plus any cleaning/damage costs
- Smoke smell requires professional fabric cleaning: Additional $150-$300
- Burns or damage: Full replacement cost of damaged items
5.2 No Animals Policy
- No pets or animals allowed in or around the dome setup
- This policy protects against allergies for future customers
- This policy prevents damage from claws, chewing, and accidents
- Violation Fee: $150 cleaning fee
- Additional fees apply for any damage caused by animals
- Exception: Service animals may be accommodated with advance notice - please contact us before booking
5.3 Other Prohibited Activities
- Open flames (candles provided are battery-operated LEDs only)
- Excessive drinking or intoxication
- Illegal substances
- Loud or disruptive behavior
- More guests than booked for (standard booking is for 2 people)
6. Weather Policy
6.1 Weather Cancellations
- Severe Weather: If severe weather makes setup unsafe (high winds, severe storms, tornado warnings), we will contact you to reschedule at no charge
- Rain: Light rain does not cancel service (dome provides cover). Heavy rain may delay setup.
- Customer Cancellation: If you cancel due to weather concerns, standard cancellation policy applies unless conditions meet our severe weather criteria
6.2 Temperature Considerations
- We operate year-round with appropriate seasonal accommodations
- Winter bookings include extra blankets and heating options
- Summer bookings include fans and cooling considerations
- Temperature-sensitive food items are customer responsibility
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
7.1 Cancellation by Customer
- 7+ days before: Full refund minus $50 processing fee
- 3-6 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 3 days: No refund, but may reschedule once within 60 days for $75 rebooking fee
- No-show: No refund, no reschedule
7.2 Cancellation by Dome-A-Date
- If we must cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund or free rescheduling
- We are not liable for travel expenses or other costs incurred
8. Access and Setup
8.1 Property Access
- Customer must ensure crew has access to property during setup window
- Setup window is typically 2-3 hours before experience begins
- Customer must provide parking for crew vehicle
- If setup location is gated or requires special access, details must be provided 24 hours in advance
8.2 Property Permissions
- Customer is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for setup
- This includes HOA approval, property owner consent (if renting), or park permits
- Dome-A-Date is not responsible for any fines or violations
9. Liability Waiver
By booking this experience, you acknowledge and agree:
- Outdoor activities involve inherent risks including weather, insects, wildlife, terrain hazards
- You voluntarily assume all risks associated with the experience
- Dome-A-Date is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or accidents during your experience
- You are responsible for your own safety and that of your guests
- You have adequate health insurance coverage
- You will not hold Dome-A-Date liable for any losses, damages, or injuries
10. Payment Terms
- Full payment required at time of booking
- Payment method on file will be charged for any applicable fees (overage, damage, theft, violations)
- Additional charges will be processed within 7 days of experience completion
- Disputed charges must be raised within 14 days
11. Contact and Communication
- You will receive booking confirmation within 24 hours
- Reminder communications sent 7 days and 24 hours before experience
- You must respond to confirmation requests
- Last-minute changes must be communicated immediately

12. Agreement Acceptance
By completing your booking and using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms in this Service Agreement, our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
